This morning my mom drove me to the Salt Lake City airport, and I flew to Los Angeles, California, where I had a 2 hour layover. It wasn’t too bad, I was downloading music on my phone and a woman who was sitting by me asked me if I could help her do the same on hers. I showed her how to download the tracks and we started talking about our trips: she's from Pakistan and had flown out here for her daughter‘s wedding in Seattle, Washington. I told her kind of what I was doing, and she encouraged me to continue traveling while I'm young.
Then I boarded a 16 hour flight Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The flight really wasn’t that bad: I watched a couple of movies, got plenty of weird looks (I was probably 1 of 6 White people on the flight). I sat next to a really nice guy from New Delhi. I told him about my upcoming trip and he said I was crazy hahah. He gave me his phone number and email address and said to contact him if I had any questions, comments, or concerns during my trip!

We flew over the North Pole. I thought this was dumb, but it actually is faster than flying straight there? |

She didn't speak any English, but didn't mind that I took this photo of her |
